Hello all! I've been lurking here for a while now but have yet to make a formal introduction. I'm a first-time cat owner and adopted my kitty Bear (an one-year old seal-point Siamese mix) from the SPCA around two months ago. Since adopting him I've found,to my horror, that I am, ahem, one of those meowmies
- people who spoil their babies to death, speak nonsense to them, fret over the tiniest changes ("he drank 0.8 mm less than he did yesterday, I think he is dehydrated!") boast over the most insignificant of accomplishments ("I swear he can jump this high!") and generally makie a nuisance of themselves to their friends by going on and on (and on and on...) like a broken record about their babies.
Bear's got me wrapped around his little furry paw and I am loving it. I suspect he will become the standard against which I will irrationally measure any and all succedding pets - so affectionate, so playful, such perfect litterbox manners,so accomodating when it comes to food, etc ad nauseum.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi to y'all. From what I've seen, it's a great place here. I've learned a lot (especially about feline nutrition), and cooed over a lot of your furbabies' pictures. Bear's photos haven't been uploaded to my computer yet, but soon, hopefully.
