I just wanted to stop by and formally introduce myself. My name is Tina, and I'm the mommy of 3 natural born children ages 16, 13 & 6 yrs old...all girls. I'm also the adopted mommy to 2 cool cats; my 'big man' Simba is almost 8 yrs old and my 'baby girl' Kassie is 2 yrs old and is soon to be a mama.
My oldest daughter is going to be a mama herself in the next 4 wks. So I am going to be a grandma for the first time to my natural granddaughter as well as to my kitty grandbabies! I'm a nervous wreck for both of them!
LOL
I had posted on the pregnant cat board last night for my concern with how long a nomal pregnancy can go. I'm not exactly sure on the date that Kassie ran out the door but I know it was not past the 9th of Feb. I want to say that it was about a wk prior to that date but cannot be certain. I figure at the longest to wait would be through next wk to see if she will deliver by then before taking her to be checked at the vet. I've been reading alot about the average pregancy lasting around 63 days, but not sure of the maximum before I should be concerned. She is eating fine, resting often but seems more restless this past 3-4 days when sleeping. Kinda moans when she stretches and rolls back and forth to try to get comfortable. Every night I expect it to be the night, but nothing. She won't go into her boxes that I've made for her. She will lay on the small blankets I've laid out for her, but mainly she lays close to wherever I am at the time. If I'm on the computer then she stretches out in her cat climber, if I'm watching tv then she is on me or next to me on the floor. I'm just being a stressed out, worrisome new grandma over both her and my daughters' pregnancies!
Hope to cya'll around the boards!
Take care;
Tina
