Approx 6 weeks ago when he first started to let me
sit near by as he ate. Has the tipped left ear (TNR) and no
collar at time of rescue. He still comes and goes as he
pleases and always comes back (new cat door installed)

BTW thats an approx 3" claw span if we added the 4th
claw that missed the mark. I was wearing a THICK
FLANNEL long sleeve shirt
I suspect I was a springboard for his Zommies
which was another reason for the cat door

Yeah, sometimes the zoomies take over! Elvis sometimes leaves little reminders like this, too. I actually love them. And I have a permanent scar on my right wrist from when my beloved angel Tomo laid down the law after I wagged my finger in his face to tell him not to aggress on my beloved angel Sunny, who was ill at the time. Tomo set me straight right away. I've never wagged my finger in anyone's face since.Not all has been Peaches & Cream

I soon may get a reminder, I keep catching myself Pointing one
at him when I say Dont do that, I am consciously trying
to stop myself but sometimes I require a Good Slap so to speak
We are both learning how to respect each others space, I adapt quick
and apparently so does he

Tomo-Taisho (Tomo "Boss"-Japanese) was a very large, very strong-willed chocolate point mix meezer with a very meezerish personality. He let no one and nothing get in his way when he wanted something.
Love your cat tray on the floor, I was in the Navy and used one of those for three meals a day at sea, very practical....
Waggytail in cats is something very different from the same thing in dogs.
My dad was a Navy man, too. I still have a few of his things from those days including white bellbottoms and navy sweater, and a metal lockbox. Treasures!
