Here's my new Vespa I've been raving on about... for those of you who saw my vintage Vespa thread.

Isn't it beautiful.
Looks like I might have to sell it though which I'm really bummed about.

And here's my vintage if you'd like to see this baby again.

The vintage Vespa looks well kept, but the silver one looks so much sharper.

Thank you both.
Sam, the vintage is worth over $3000 (including what I've put into it) and the new Vespa is worth over $4000... They don't come cheap, that's for certain.
I love them equally for different reasons.

Next step... need to get out the dusty old camera and actually take current photos of the blue beasties.
I'm really not much of photographer, despite the fact that I was so keen on it during high school. I'm hoping to get a digital camera sometime soon though...

Cool scooters, Jenn!!! I'll bet you have a blast on those !!! I hope you don't have to sell one, though. Which one do you ride more?

The vintage has a manual clutch, 4 speeds, and will go about 100 km/hr. and the new one will do about 70 km/hour and is just twist and go, no shifting involved.

I can take the vintage on some of the highways (no interstates here
) but not the new one, unfortunately.

I love them both... and they are definitely fun!

Thanks Kelly!
Yeah, they're great... but unfortunately I can't ride at the moment due to medical reasons.
They are both plated, but only the new one is insured at the moment...

Wow that's so cool! I know it's going to be hard for letting go of your old Vespa! All the best with that.

Sweet, Jen!

They are very pretty, both of them..

Would you get $3000 for the vintage? I didn't know they were that much!
Its very pretty though.. Can't remember if I have asked you before, but do you need a driver's license for a scooter? I was told you didn't need a full driver's but rather a separate type of license.

I hope you are feeling better...

(will pm you back soon)

Cheers

Thanks Cin.
Don't know if I'll get that much for the vintage, but I'm trying to negotiate something with a potential buyer.

A motorcycle license is needed here for anything 50cc's and over... In BC, I don't believe you need one unless the bike is 100cc's are more. So the newer model you could drive without a motorcycle license in BC (and a few other provinces as well). Makes sense, because it's simply twist and go... no footwork involved. Kinda like riding a bicycle.

Good photo's!! I got the Vespa broucheres last week and Neil looked them over. The closest dealer is about 2 hrs away but perhaps we will take the truck in case we make a purchase. I think I just have to pump him up a little more!! I really think he is serious .

They are so much fun, Gail.
You're welcome to show him the pics of mine if you like.
Good luck with that, and be sure to let me know the outcome!
