New Member! Advice on caring for my colony of about 9?

This is him and one of him with one of the kittens. He looks much larger in real life (sorry for bad quality). The kittens always look a bit scared around him. They don't seem to mind any other cat but him.

Winter boxes!! 2 bins lined styrofoam insulation with thermal silver plastic I found at Home Depot. The smallest one is a small fish box I found. I wrapped it in a t shirt because the kitties love to play with it.  I caulked the gaps inside  the boxes and covered any gaps with duct tape. I bought some mylar blankets a while ago but I can't find them. When i do i'll  wrap the inside with it., but for now they'll be warm and toasty. The bins still have blankets inside them, but I'm working on getting some straw.
