Even though this is about dogs rather than cats, I think it is a wonderful program. It gives inmates the opportunity to learn dog training from a professional trainer and gives hard to adopt dogs (from a high-kill gas chamber shelter) a much better chance of adoption. I have been to a dog graduation, and it was great. They demonstrated all sorts of tricks. It may take some wading through my home town newspaper to find the article, but I thought some of you might like to read it. I am computer challenged, so it took me about 20 minutes just to post this link
. I'm sure there was an easier way. I apologize to the moderators if I am posting in the wrong forum; I am forever doing that and I don't mean to.
