just adopted a female thats 2 years old as a playmate for louie. louie doesn't seem to like her. we were told to keep them separated for a few days. everytime louie sees her he starts growling and hissing at her. louie was our only cat for 2 years and now he's got her (hopefully). anyone know any tricks to getting him to warm up to her? is there anything i can do or just gotta wait and see?

More than likely with time and patience he'll at least get used to her. It's hard to say if they'll ever actually be "friends" though. Make sure to give him lots of love and attention so that he knows everything is ok and hopefully they'll sort out their issues in time. This is pretty normal behavior, especially for a kitty who has been an only kitty for a couple years. Good luck!
