I currently have a very sweet & docile 3 yr old neutered male Ragdoll: Kitty Witty. He’s very tolerant of my 6 yr old nephew and my 1 yr old terrier pup, but not a complete pushover. I’m bringing home a new male Maine Coon kitten in 2 weeks and am afraid of stressing out my Ragdoll. I will initially keep him separated, but am worried about these animals getting along. The dog likes to play with cat & can be a nuisance.

Hi there! Congratulations on your soon-to-be new kitty! Keeping the newcomer separated is a great first step. Slow, gradual introductions will be the best way to give Kitty Witty and your dog a chance to get used to the new kitten and become friends. I'll attach some helpful articles that explain the introduction process.
