new kitten with possible ring worm

Hi I have a new kitten I've had him for a week tomorrow and just noticed over his right eye and behind his left ear a small light spot but he keeps crying...... my husband said he thinks it's ringworms and my appointment isn't until the 26th.... I'm sad because I have to wait for his appointment. Does this mean that it will spread until then? I don't know what to do.. someone please help. He's only 10 wks old.
