New kitten, confused on how to handle play aggression and wire chewing?

So many doctors and vets are wrong.
I'm asking a question referring to his behaviour in the

Uh, I was talking about him going underneath the recliners, the chairs.
I'm hoping the vet is wrong and he will live longer. But she honestly said there is no way to be sure how long he will live. She adopted a pet with a similar problem so she gave me that time frame.

She also mentioned the distress from his condition could be triggering his aggression, but I'm starting to think its territorial. He recently has been aggressively attacking my fiance.

A recliner is a chair where the footrest lifts up by using a handle and it reclines back for squishy decadent lounging. Small cats and mostly kittens can get up inside of it by going under. It can be very annoying to extract them from this desirable hiding place and they can get hurt.
