Just starting to care for feral cats and at the moment only caring for 2 that I call one Onyx and the other Ten which is short for Tennessee Tuxedo as he is a Tuxedo cat. Retired and fixing up house with catio while caring for aged mother in Assisted Living. I love all animals.

Hello and welcome to TCS. :wave2: Good for you taking on the care of feral cats. Are Onyx and Ten part of a feral colony? Have they been spayed/neutered yet? Getting that done will help ensure you don't have more and more cats to care for.

If you haven't noticed yet, we have an entire forum on Caring for Strays and Ferals if you have any questions, or just need some support from members doing the same as you.

A big welcome to you, Onyx and Ten...and to future cats, who will find you! There's a special place in our hearts (and a special forum on our site) for those who care for feralls! Bless you!

It sounds as if you have the right vibe going for yourself, for taking care of yourself, as well as the kitties and mom. Kitties will help guide you to find your way—-take one day at a time, and know that if dealing with a parent solo seems at times too much to bear, there is always us, the kitties and you.

Welcome! Are you thinking about bringing Onyx and Ten inside and have use of the catio, or do you have other indoor cats as well?
