Hi folks! My name's Cristina. Meet Beardy as well!
Beardy's mom actually belonged to my boyfriend's neighbor. She had kittens just as the neighbors were moving away. Unfortunately, Beardy was a bit skittish as a kitten - so skittish that the neighbors couldn't catch him after he got out of the house, so they just moved away without him. After living as a feral kitten for a bit, my boyfriend was able to lure Beardy in and adopted him. He's three now and couldn't be more loveable....except when he's hunting. This cat has the hunter in him like I've never seen. He very frequently brings in rats and mice and sometimes birds. We tried a bell on him for awhile but he managed to get it off several times.
Any recommendations for decreasing the number of kills we end up with? Or perhaps a good bell collar? :-)
Glad to be here!
