Beautiful, assume your mentors have already told you to weigh them once a day to ensure they are feeding enough. Are the kittens shaded as well? Not a colour I deal with in my breed

He looks brown tabby bicolour not chocolate? Perhaps it's just the lighting, a judge would have picked it up otherwise I'm sure.

I'm sure a judge would have reclassified him, or your mentors if they've seen photos along the way, you can colour test him to ensure pedigrees are correct.

I colour test all mine just to see what they carry

Again, it could be my computer but I'm not seeing chocolate. Will ask a Persian breeder to have a look :)

Doesn't look chocolate to me either, and because of the white his feet will have pink pads so you can't use those to see what colour he really is.  But the fur at the end of his tail looks very dark in this photo for a chocolate.

Has he been shown?

Find myself wondering who you are registering them with.  So far as I can tell under the UK GCCF, you would have to put the kittens on one of the reference registers.

Is that because of the colours OS? They are accepted over here and if not with CFA in the US then TICA probably does - I haven't looked it up though.

Persians are so not my thing, and being the oldest breed recognised in the UK (I think) it has lots of Breed Advisory Councils and there are very complicated rules about what matings are and are not allowed to produce showable kittens.  I mean showable in breeding terms, of course there is always the genetic roulette deciding if they are ducks or swans.

Oh of course, I do forget that some breeds have these rules.

Hi everybody,

Definitely a Brown Tabby Bicolour - not choc at all :)

Here's a ladies website from NZ with both a brown tabby and a chocolate tabby.. hard to tell the difference without an untrained eye though. The chocs are much warmer in colour.
