He’s really cute. I second the getting a toy he can be rough with. Remember to play till he wears out.
Just curious but how do you interact with him? You know, especially with young ones, no hands, attack of the claw with hands, holding him down and tickling, etc. Hands are for touching gently and petting. Also watch anyone else’s interplay with him.

I suspect, as everyone has said, you just have a young guy full of energy.

When he “goes crazy” can you just walk away or close the door and go to another room? Best way to show inappropriate behavior is to ignore and let him defuse. With you out of the picture you can test his reaction. If he just quits then may be something you’re doing.

But I bet it’s just excess energy.

I wish I had another room but I'm in an apartment. Dining and living room open to escort her so just the two of us Stay out of his way.
I've had cats when I was young so I'm pretty good with knowing about avoiding hand play etc and thanks for confirming I'm still handling him in the right way.
I did try something new the past two days where I talking to him through his crazies and distracted him before he went into full out blown crazy. Was much better then earlier in the week where I had to get him outside. Maybe it's a beginning :)

God typos are killing me. Dining and living room are open to each other so wide space.

See, you were calmer and he sensed that. You showed him full attention which has to be part of what’s going on in that little cute cat head!

Don’t beat yourself up...every step forward is not a step backward.

Super news!

I'm beside myself now. He woke up, pet him up, got his food and when I put it down I believe he went to nip my hand. Ugh!!!
I'm going to make believe I didn't see that lol land look to tomorrow :)

Well a couple of weeks went by and I can't say anything changed. Popo still wants to come in to eat sleep and play but still gets overly stimulated (not by us but simply playing hard by himself). If we don't try to cage him and leave him loose he starts stalking. No matter how sweet and happy he is, this feral wild side takes over.
Thinking of building a large indoor cage with shelves etc, but definitely not happy with keeping him like that.
