I just brought home my wonderful new kitty from the Humane Society today...have him established in his own little room right now.
I had originally planned to follow the "keep apart, after a couple of days let old kitty smell new kitty's blanket..." etc., etc. plan that would have them meeting in about 3 weeks. However, new kitty has a mild upper respitory infection...a "kitty cold"...and is on meds for the next 2 weeks. Expect it to clear up nicely, but does that mean that everything has to be put on hold until he's better? I mean, that means no exchanging of smells since my other cat might get sick too, right? Please help!!!
