I have never mixed wet and dry for cats or dogs. They eat the foods differently, at different speeds. I believe they should be separate so if your kitty goes for dry, only put down wet and next meal go dry until you use up your supply, if put down at same time most cats will go for dry, unless older. Think of it as your child be offered dinner and dessert simultaneously. You know which gets eaten first, so feed wet first like in morning when they are super hungry and maybe dry later in day. Regularly scheduled feedings, without dry left down all day are key! Proteins and carbs digest at different speeds also making more vomiting or indegestion for cats who eat dry a lot or bolt down their food.
