Midnight always used to wake me up 10 minutes before my alarm clock rang. It was really helpful on the days I actually had to go to work. It didn't matter if I had a day off, Midnight would still start trying to wake me up at the same time. She would start by purring loudly and giving a lot of headbutts. If that didn't work, she would start licking me while she continued to purr loudly. If it STILL didn't work, she would put her claws out and just press them into my skin in various places...and of course, she would be still purring.
Snowball never used to participate in any of this, but now that Midnight has gone to the Rainbow Bridge, he has taken over her alarm clock duties.
