hey there im new to this forum(hi all).
i moved house recently about 2 months ago and since them my 2 yr old female has been in fights with other cats(understandable as its their territory).
recently i brought home a kitten to keep her company. the kitten has settled in well in her safety room with all her stuff. we decided last night it was time to introduce them 2 each other.naturally my 2 yr old hissed and spat but she did not swipe just stared at the kittens every move.
Introducing them again this morning after they had both eaten my 2 year old made a swipe for the kitten. we've been punishing bad behavior and rewarding good in regards to the 2 year old but we are keeping them separate for now.
iv heard from various cat owners different things such as my 2 yr old will terrorize her until the kitten realizes who's territory shes on, or that if they don't get on they'll learn to tolerate each other.
what do u think is the best thing to do? please need help!
