I have a 7 year old male cat. Today he was walking around with a long with something hanging out. I pulled some out and it looks to be a tapeworm, can anyone confirm?

My cat seemed irritated while I was pulling it out. The object snapped with a little bit of force.

The image is a bit small to see if it is segmented or not, and none of your larger images are coming through for me. Usually tape worms will shed segments, so if you see any small white things that look like grains of rice stuck to your cat's fur at the back that will be a tapeworm.

I would stick it in a ziplock bag and take it in to your vet so they can give you the correct dewormer.

Thanks for the quick response. It is segmented. The only thing that had me second guessing it was a worm, was how rubbery it seemed until it snapped.
