I don't know what the medication is but, I'll check when I'm up there. My dad wasn't home, when I called and Mom is hard-pressed to remember MY name, sometimes.
Since the stroke, everybody is "Mike" (one of my brothers) and she calls my dad "Daddy". When she refers to "Mike" or "Michael", we have to figure out if she'd talking about me, my brothers, the grandkids, Bill or one of the dogs. Makes for some interesting conversations, sometimes.
Aw, Cindy, I'm so glad it wasn't something more serious!!!! I'm REALLY glad it's treatable with medication and won't apparently require surgery. *Phew*
How's your mom? I wouldn't worry about her confusing names - my grandmother used to do that all the time (siblings, children, grandchildren, pets), and now my mom's (71) doing it. I'm 46 and a teacher, and I do over and over.
