I've been given the choice of declawing my kittens, being evicted or finding them a new home. Sadly, I'd rather them have a good home with their claws than declaw them; and being evicted isn't an option.
They are two 10 month old kittens that are from a litter of 6 that I saved from the cold and rain (no mommy, only cow milk to survive). They were all wormy and bloated and starving. I nursed them to health and found good homes for 4 of them but ended up keeping 2 more (couldn't find a home, and I got attached). They are spayed/neutered, beautiful, so loving, hyper as can be, no FIV, dewormed, up to date on all their shots, etc. They are highly adoptable.
I put an ad in the paper a while back, but I got some creepy callers. I found them a home recently, but it just dawned on me that they would be outside cats. I'm scared they would run away right away.
So I'm running out of options. I have until the 15th of July and will be on vacation for part of the time. I assume they would be adopted from the humane society, but I can't be sure. Our two no-kill shelters are totally full. Any options? I'd be willing to drive as far as Kansas City for a good no-kill shelter.
