The US is having a prescription drug take back day on April 27 from 10 am to 2 pm.
National Prescription Drug Take Back Day
Bring all your unused medications, including veterinary medicines and expired medications, to a local take back site for proper disposal. You just walk in, drop your medications into a designated box, and leave. No form filling or questions asked.
OTC medicines can be brought to a take back site so clean out those medicine cabinets
Some locations have a take back program all year long, such as a pharmacy or a police station. See https://apps.deadiversion.usdoj.gov/pubdispsearch
No local take back site? Ask your local pharmacy or public health department for advice.
Not accepted at the take back:
