So we finally tested Napolean for allergies, and it was a complete waste of $100 because there's nothing significant in the results.
He is currently on z/d and doing well. He used to eat Science Diet kitten food, which is when the allergies started. We did a food trial with duck & pea, which he reacted to. Then we tried pea & venison, and he reacted to that. So here are the food portions of the test, I am listing only what he reacted to. 150 units is considered significant, and it's out of 5000.
Cooked Beef - 22
Cooked Fish Mix - [Halibut, Cod, Tuna] 1
Milk - 32
Cooked Rice - 5
Wheat Grain - 10
Cooked Corn - 12
Soybean - 15
Potato - 2
Cooked Lamb - 12
Barley - 2
Whey - 1
Turkey - 2
Venison - 7
I guess he's stuck on z/d for forever. I'm really bummed, because it's really hard keeping him away from other food, and just one kibble is enough to set off his scratching and his ears. He's just getting over a run with his ears being yucky. Probably due tog etting a bite of something. I try to watch him, but he's a cat, he's sneaky.
I really had hoped to put everyone on Innova or a better kind of food, but it might set him off. He hates dry z/d, so he gets free fed z/d, and canned z/d am/pm. So, any ideas? Anyone know of a better hypoallergenic food?
I really just hate seeing him itchy and uncomfortable.
Thanks for any ideas or support!
