Cammy was named by DH, after a street fighter character. Abbey was named for the Beatles album, Abbey Road. I wanted to call her Lucy, for the Beatles song but DH didn't like it. My outside kitties, their names just came to me.
I love Abbey! And Lucy haha! My friend has a critter named Penny Lane and i love that too. I guess I'm a sucker for that kind of thingOriginally Posted by kscatlady

Whenever I see you mention Neko I always think of Neko Case. She's an indie musician, and I have a pretty big girl crush on her...Originally Posted by silva_unt
So my bf is learning Japanese for his poli sci major and offered the name Neko, which means "cat" in Japanese! Simple and cute! People mistake her for a boy with this name, but owell. It fits her
We listen to indie music too! She's one of our faves too!Originally Posted by Mystik Spiral

My mom drives me crazy because she constantly refers to Holland as "he". I have corrected her a number of times, once she said "well she's been spayed, so he, she, it - it doesn't matter!".Originally Posted by Sneakymom
She's getting fixed- so IMHO the sex of the cat doesn't even matter

This made me giggle in sympathy because when I announced Tolly's name, my mother insisted on calling him "Tully". And she had all the sibs saying it too. I kept saying mom, his name NOT Tully, it's TOLLY (pronounced Tahlly) and then she would say well it should be Tully. LOL!Originally Posted by Mystik Spiral
