Went to Vanity Fair to buy some jeans. I came to the realization that all of my jeans weren't flattering in the least. :lol3:

Grocery store

I am now cooking up a lot for the freezer - four pounds of chicken meatballs and four pounds of lettuce wrap filling. I'll freeze them in single meal sized containers. Figured it was a cooler day out and it would be nice to have some pre made meals in the freezer for the summer.

1: Caught up on over 1yrs worth of bookwork (that my laptop decided to gobble up & hide lol).
2: Put off ordering my repeat prescriptions *AGAIN* as I was far too cosy snuggling with Meez, who then started snoring on my chest/neck after a loooong armpit pummel & made it impossible for me to move or even want to :)
3: LOTSA mind training, gratitude/positivity/relaxation techniques, meditation, of course with the Meez in tow & doing her share lol!

Well, the weather held out, but I ran out of time. No mowing got done last night.

Hopefully mowing tonight

Move the appliances back into the kitchen

I have to run to Lowes tonight after work.....but I forget what for!
I hate when I do that! I hope Rick remembers as it was important....I remember that much.

 Hope you found some new jeans to fit the bill!!! ;)

but I forget what for! :doh3:  I hate when I do that! I hope Rick remembers as it was important....I remember that much.
Another  You know what is even worse. When you have glimpses of what it was and swear you will remember this time only to forget once again. :nothappy: Between Larry and myself, we have half a brain when it comes to trying to make mental lists for the store. :lol3:

1. Bike ride - get in some errands at the same time - Post Office and Hallmark. I have a large pouch on my bike to carry items for days like this.
2. Give my boys, Wilbur and Henry, a bath!!!
3. Wash floors........... and there was something else, but I forgot.

I give up on the three things.....nothing I plan is coming out right anymore.

Did not get the mowing done again last night (and it's supposed to rain tomorrow). We got the appliances moved back into the kitchen, but things didn't go according to plan (they never do, do they?) and there's an issue with the stove now. We can't seem to level it out; stove is level, but the oven isn't. If we don't get it fixed, my cakes will not look right. (Didn't get my Strawberry Swirls done last night either, since the oven isn't right.)

We didn't put the cats in the bedroom while we were moving things around and the Three Meowsketeers were in the way the entire time, which made things take that much longer. Rick and my BIL started moving the fridge back into position....and Muffin darted right behind them and into the fridge space. And she wouldn't come back out. Molli saw Muffin go back there, so she jumped up on top of the fridge (while it was on the dolly) and crouched down to look over the back of the fridge at Muffin. So the guys are trying to move a fridge....with a cat on it.
I tried to get Muffin out of the space and Molli off the top of the fridge. Then Tabby decided that this was all great fun; she jumped into the sink, which was full of bottles from the fridge (water, milk, a couple bottles of wine, some OJ) and knocked them around. Molli then leaped from the fridge into the sink, which startled Tabs, who jumped back out, right in front of Rick who's still trying to move the fridge around Muffin. Honestly, we should have videoed the whole thing. My BIL (who now has seven cats, too) looked at me and said, "I thought things were bad in my house!" I just shook my head....at that point, there's nothing to say.

And that's the way the whole night went. What should have taken a matter of 30 minutes took considerably longer. But we got it done and everything is leveled back out, except for the oven. I may have to call the repair weenie for that. Moved the hutch back into the kitchen, gave it good dose of lemon oil and cleaned it. Then I put the things back on the hutch. It was a busy night and nothing else that we wanted to do got done.

Didn't get to Lowes either. BUT I remembered what I wanted. Felt pads for the chair legs in the kitchen. For now, we're keeping the kitchen chairs that no longer have felt pads in the bedroom.

So tonight.....

I really need to mow that lawn!

It's trash night

Do a load of white wash, if I have time

And I really hope that something gets done.

Good luck at getting things done, Pam! :lol3:

I had 30% off at Kohls and $5 in rewards, so I had to go score a deal or two. :lol3:

Went to the bank to renew my IRA.

Oh Pam.... I had to laugh at your description of your "three things gone wrong"!! :lol3: :lol2: When it's just Larry and me rearranging things at home, we do have assistants. But, if someone they don't know comes over to help, the cats completely disappear. :dash: I really hope that "something gets done" at your place. ;)

1. Groomed cats/dogs! Boys had their bath today.
2. On the phone with Heather for awhile today. All good. :bigthumb:
3. 4 loads of laundry.

Ooooooo gotta love the Kohls Cash!!! :bigthumb:  I get a real thrill when I hit the check-out and get to see how much I saved! Sometimes, I almost feel guilty at the prices. :lol3:

Thanks guys! We did manage to get things accomplished last night! I got the yard mowed (thank goodness! It takes between 3.5 to 4 hours on the riding mower to mow the yard....I'm slow), while Rick did the litter boxes and the trash. Then I came inside, made dinner, and I did make those Strawberry Swirls (posted about them in the Strawberries! thread). They're on the yummy side. Rick thinks he was able to fix the oven; I checked the oven temp last night and that seemed OK, too. Did one load of laundry, too, while Rick went outside and worked on the pool.....our pool water right now is a lovely shade of......green. We ended up eating dinner around 8:30 last night, but it was OK. (Since I still haven't been to Lowes, we ate in the living room on the sofa, while watching Cook's Country on tv. And fending off four cats. Who knew that cats liked goulash?)

Love Kohl's, Karen! My sister is a Kohl's junkie; she's always there, loading up on something. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of jeans did you buy at VF? I've been wearing some old pairs from Penny's.....St. John's Bay. I like them, but evidently, they have spandex (I don't like spandex) and after wearing them now for an hour or so, I'm getting "droopy drawers". I'm thinking of going back to Lee's (but some of them have spandex, too). I like Gloria Vanderbilt's Amanda jeans, too.

Dejolane, I hope your appointment with the back specialist went OK. Will you be having an operation on your back? I've had so many MRIs done on my lower back that it's not even funny anymore. I hate MRIs.....stuck inside that little space and listening to those knock, knock, knocks. Thank goodness, I'm not claustrophobic. Any way, hope it went OK yesterday.

Lauren, you were busy! All that grooming and the laundry.

So tonight:

I have a hair appointment, time to touch up the grey/white (and is it any wonder I have white hair???)

Working in the garden (if the rain holds out....we're supposed to get a good 3/4 of an inch today into tonight and that's why I was worried about getting the yard mowed)

Probably end up on the treadmill tonight as I don't think I'll get outside over lunch today

The good news: I HAVE OFF WORK TOMORROW!!!!

I'm taking my last vacation day (I get more time starting next week when my new work year begins). Rick is trying to get off work, too; if he can, we're going to Trader Joe's for some shopping. If he can't get off, then I'm going to putter about the house. Even if it rains tomorrow, and it's supposed to, I will find plenty of chores to do. And even a day working at home is better than a day working in the office!!

Boy do I miss Trader Joe's.... I used to shop there all the time back in Illinois. Have a great day off tomorrow, Pam and hope Rick can take the day off too!! :lol3: on the cats and the goulash. :D My Wendall would eat anything, I swear, just about ANYTHING!!!

Busy day today!! Our hardwood finally arrived!! :woo: I am SOOOO excited but have to put off installation until the 24th... both Larry and I have colonoscopies one week apart and I don't think our guy will get the floors done in four days - you know, "the whistler" And, I didn't think it would be a good idea to be cleansing for the procedures on the last day he is installing floors. :lol3: Don't think the Whistler would appreciate the "running" to the bathroom. :flail:

My new cat sitter is coming over today at 4:00 to go over things for this weekend. We are going to my brother's in Chicago Saturday for Rib Fest. I thought it would be a good way for the sitter to get her feet wet here at the house with the kitties. She will come Saturday night and Sunday morning. I really like her and think she will do a great job. This way I will feel more comfortable leaving the cats in her care when we have to go to Door County in July.

Have to get to Pets Supplies Plus sometime today too. :wavey:

I only made and froze the lettuce wrap filling, not the lettuce.

I got a bunch of really thick Vera Wang towels that were originally $29.99 each for only $4.10 each. :D
