Hey everyone! I have another nutrition question...
Does your cat eat bread? Or have they ever?
Starting last week, I brought home some rolls from the bakery and when I put the bags down and stepped away for a few minutes, I came into the room with the bag of rolls torn open and Naku chomping away. Esme was off in the other room, but the way she came back and circled the crime scene, makes me think she's not so innocent either (lol). I figured then, it was just probably a one time thing and ignored it.
So, last night I brought home some italian bread for our pasta night and I woke up this morning to another ripped open bread bag (it was left on the counter where we typically leave bread) and bread slices on the counter and the floor all with parts eaten.
We've always kept bread (usually normal wheat loaves of sandwich bread) in plain sight and he has never touched them! We've also had some italian loaves before and he didn't touch those. So I'm kind of at a loss now.
Could it just be some odd delicacy for him or is there maybe something I should check into (health wise)?
We've switched to keeping the bread behind cabinet doors for now (hoping Esme doesn't become a partner in crime and open them for him, ha).
