Good news I think..I found my credit card bill from that date with that transaction and it all evens out on the bill $99.99 plus tax = the charge on my bill

Do you think CT will accept this along with the warranty to prove it?

Oh and also, should I return it first, or contact Hoover first about the warranty?

Hoover will have to fix it if it is under warranty, but that may require you to ship it to them at your cost, so I would try CT first!
