I haven't posted in a while, but needed some grief relief.
My 17 year old boy Toby was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago. After treating him successfully for all this time he began to stop eating. A few weeks ago he had a hypoglycemia attack. He spent 2 days in emergency care and bounced back. We thought he would last forever. That was short lived and he began to not eat and kept losing more and more weight. I took him in and the vet felt a lump in his abdomen indicating tumor. I tried treating him with medication because he could not handle chemo. After watching him deteroriate every day, my husband and I have made the decision to set him free this evening. This is the most difficult decision I have ever had to make. I cannot bear to see him in pain anymore.
I am proud to say that his picture actually made it as a meowhoo wallpaper. He was January 2004. Good bye sweet Toby, I miss you already.
Thank you.
