Well it’s definitely not from a cat it’s the wrong shape. It’s a bird or another mammal that hatches from an egg.

There is no more blood coming? and she seems OK?

I dont know what it is, but whatever it is, she apparently got rid of it, and lets hope its the last we will hear from this particular thing.

Perhaps send the pic and info to her vet? Or some veterinary school accepting questions? Such material may be interesting for them and their students.

It is an undeveloped kitten fetus that she has miscarried. Hopefully, mama cat’s uterus is cleaned out now.

Tell your friend to watch for any infection. If her cat begins to run fever, stops eating, or becomes lethargic or can’t nurse, she may need to see a vet for antibiotics.

Just for reference a kitten at that stage is roughly around 0.7-1.5 inches long. Use the size of the shoe at the top right as a comparable object.

Wait, so she hadnt healthy kittens delivered 3 weeks ago, and now this;

but she conceived / mated 3 weeks ago, and now this?? Yes, if so the most probable its a spontan abortion of a fetus; possibly a misshaped fetus.
With a little luck she may proceed to carry the others, till the delivery at about day 65.

Any way, the most important she isnt bleeding more, and is OK; no fever nor other signs for being unwell.... If she isnt OK, you must to a vet.

Ps. ONE reason why we seldom see an aborted fetus is she very often eates it up, with barely a wet rosy spot as the only trace something happened...
