Paula, she is with you. Always. And I firmly believe when the bond is so strong, these cats find away to come back to us. My Miew Miew came back to me - she was lost last year in May on the 17th. Never came home. We suspect killed by a car or a coyote (one was in the neighborhood).
That was the week before my Lexi/Mee Mee went missing.
Anyway, Miew Miew did a couple of unique things. About 6 months
after I lost her in May 07, it would be Oct 07, I took a small 3 month old
kitten home from my feral colony. I wanted to get her fixed, she was
friendly to me, and I opened a carrier and had her go in it, and thus
trapped her.
She yeowled her head off on the way home, then when I got her home,
managed to escape the carrier in the basement and came up stairs.
She shot out the pet door, how did she know where to find it??? She
was a feral, never been in my house!
She hung round the house, but did not come inside for 2 wks.
I fed her, she would come for the food
out of the sewers but that was it. She let me pet over those 2 wks,
and finally she let me pick up and carry her. And then she came in the pet door on her own!!!
And after that she acted like she was home. She ran up to my Diablo,
whom Miew Miew had adored - he greeted her and groomed her just like that. She knew him, he knew her. ...
And today she continues to do things that Miew Miew did...
she's a different color this time round - lavender blue tabby, not orangey pink like last time. But she's the same dainty, hide under covers, play on the cat tree upside down and climb the front shrubs sort of cat she was last time she was with me...
So I am convinced she is Miew Miew returned. I know that this sounds odd, but there you have it. So I truely believe your kitty will find you again.
Keep your heart open .... I am waiting for my Diablo to reappear....
