My poor scaredy cat =(

So I have 2 cats, prince and princess, prince is princesses son but she's so aggressive towards him for no reason! He is the most gentlest cat but he is afraid of anybody that comes into my home, so much so that he will run upstairs and hide under the quilt and won't come down all day, I have no idea why he is like this and nothing seems to help calm him down, I don't know whether he's prone to be scared because of the way princess is with him or that's just his nature? Does anybody else have a cat like this or maybe have a solution? Thanks.
