He already gets matted sometimes but I usually brush him every night before bed (he LOVES it)....He's not fixed but I'm not sure if I will get him fixed. Are there pros/cons to getting him fixed?

Good that you brush him, especially where the fur is longer.

There are no cons to getting him fixed. If he is not fixed he will be extremely hormonal & trying to get out to have sex. He will also spray everywhere. He is old enough now to be fixed.

He's your basic domestic shorthair. His fur is a little longer & you will need to watch that it doesn't get matted in places. Is he fixed?
