I don't know if the doctor mentioned it but you want to take a therapeutic dose of pain killers. that means you take the next one around a half hour before the first one wears off. That will keep the pain and inflammation managed until the infection goes away. I know it is the worst pain in the world. Hope it is getting better by today.

The cats house, we just pay the mortgage..
Hello everyone. Couldn't update earlier.
Had to make another emergency dentist appointment this morning

I could barely open my mouth this morning and couldn't swallow.
I saw a different dentist as only certain practises are open on a Saturday.
She has increased my antibiotic dosage from 200mg to 900 mg for today and then down to 500mg tomorrow, as she hopes they will have kicked in my then.
I am also (as advised) taking 2 ibuprofen every 4 hours and 2 paracetamol every 2 hours i between.
I am drowsy to say the least

Thankfully the painkillers are working right now so I have able to swallow some soup, oh and smile which I couldn't do this morning

The nurse said 'wow thats bad' when she looked in my mouth

Keep on top of the painkillers. If anything, set a timer so you don't space it off because it is harder to bring a pain episode down than to prevent it.

Take Care.

There's some stuff called Red Cross for tooth aches and its very good but do not put more than a little tiny tiny bit on the tooth effected its very strong and it tastes awful but it works.

Ow, Lauren, that sounds awful
Hopefully the antibiotics will start kicking the infection soon. That's when you'll really start to feel better. I hope that's soon
