My friends (a couple) both play ukeleles, and learnt fairly recently. They both love it, and whenever they have a party they do uke duels and duets and it's awesome

My DIL said she wanted a UKE for Christmas a couple months ago. My daughter told me that she was going to buy her a pink one.!
That is too funny! BTW...my DIL was serious. She said the first song that she wanted to learn on the uke was "Man Eater" by Hall & Oates.

The ukelele is a serious instrument - wouldnt be Texas Swing and bluegrass without it but, all I can say is:

Tiptoe through the window
By the window is where I''ll be
Come tiptoe through the tulips with me
Oh, tiptoe from the garden
By the garden of the willow tree
And tiptoe through the tulips with me

Knee deep in flowers we'll stray
We'll keep the showers away
And if I kiss you in the garden, in the moonlight
Will you pardon me?
And tiptoe through the tulips with me

Tell her that it was one of John Lennon's first instruments. In fact, if you listen to a lot of his early songs, they have a similarity to the ukulele sound.

Still no uke

Boyfriend has a tiny classical guitar though, still, not the same.

If I could make a recommendation? Don't get a cheapie uke. Get one with decent sound and decent action. Otherwise as you start to play it will get frustrating when you can't make a decent sound because of the quality of the instrument. Nothing kills a learning buzz faster.

I think she was saying she doesn't know what a ukulele is...although she probably is too young to know who Tiny Tim is.

Then of course there was IZ:

That was an excellent use of the ukulele!
