I was at work earlier today, and on the radio, they said call in and win a $50 gift certificate to a near by restaurant called Alfonsos! Well, I kept hitting redial because it was always busy..........then all of a sudden, the DJ says, HELLO! YOUR CALLER NUMBER 12!!!! All I could say was, "no kidding"???

Have you guys ever won anything on the radio?? This is my 2nd time in my life and I am thrilled! No cooking for me on Saturday! LOL

I've never won anything on the radio, but I did win the top prize (a bunch of CD's and lyrics booklets) at a local rock show. And I actually won my new 2005 Vespa at a party sponsored by a local scooter retailer!


That was SUPER cool.

Yep - I went through a streak where I won all the time - once $400 dollars and then other small items, dinner. Once I won an overnight stay in downtown Indy with Bob and Tom if you've ever heard their broadcast (I think they are all over the US now) and a leprechaun. Limo ride to night club, etc. It was a lot of fun.

One radio station here used to run some trivia contest every morning while I was driving to work. I'd call in when I was sitting in traffic. I won some Seinfeld stuff one morning, and another day I won a CD recorder, a WalkMan, and a couple hundred dollars worth of CDs. I had never, EVER won anything before that!

Oooh very cool! My brother and I called in to a radio show and won some tickets to a movie sneak preview (Boys and Girls). And at my last job I won free tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters.
That's about it though, I think.

The morning show in Los Angeles, read something I wrote on air and I won a collector's plate, coffee mug and dinner at the Spaghetti factory-

While we lived in Alaska, someone entered our answering machine message in a radio station contest. We had no idea, it was just someone who called and heard it and thought it was to funny. We won $150.00 for that- because we came in first after everyone voted on the messages submitted.

Thanks everyone..............The only other thing I've ever won, at least on the radio, was you had to send your name to them on a postcard and they drew like 4 names a day. You had to listen for your name and then call in to qualify for a prize. Well, sure enough, they called my name, so I called in. At the end of the contest, they picked a name from all that had qualified and they picked me. What did I win? A Lazyboy recliner from a furniture store........it's nice, but I was hoping for an all expense paid trip to Hawaii!
