...weird, but good.
Started my first real time off work in while yesterday afternoon and joined our Sisters for Mass and dinner to mark Holy Thursday - very prayerful and peaceful evening.
Got home and was barely in the door when the phone rang. It was my next door neighbor, who I barely know (yet she knows enough about me to know I like cats) in a panic because a cat she described as "Siamese looking" was trying to get into the garbage cans outside her apartment building. She gave the poor thing some food before calling me. I went out to investigate (of course) and discovered VERY skinny, VERY friendly, blue-eyed seal point Siamese mix trying to get into the garbage. Was able to get the cat into a carrier and into a friend's garage for the night.
Took her to the rescue this morning for a vet check. She's 2-3 years old front declawed, and get, this not spayed.
Fortunately, she seems otherwise healthy, tested neg. for FeLV and FIV and is very friendly and chatty. After some IV fluids and a good meal, she's now safe and cozy at the rescue. She'll be spayed on Mon. Our vet tech named her Lacey.
See, what did I tell you? Weird, but good.
