My cat was similar, but without the Meowing.
Some cats dont like other Cats, even their own offspring. They want ALL the attention.
If you have other cats, then this could be the case.
Also.. cats meow, when they are in heat, or, when they want something.
Water, Food, to be let out, to be let in, to get petted. Its how they talk.
