My Kitten Likes Tomatoes!

I would just like to give everyone an update as to Legolas eating some tomatoe. He is just fine......no symptoms of anything. He's playing, he's running around like crazy, he's eating just fine and he's drinking water like he should.

Everything is back to normal!

Tomatoes are NOT toxic to cats. My 12 year old cat consumes 5-6 cherry/grape tomatoes per day and has for 12 years. He loves them. I have discussed this with several vets and they all confirm that they are not a danger....but are probably good for the digestive system. He is healthy and active....never sick. It actually keeps him active as we play a game of tossing the tomatoes down the stairs which prompts him to get up and run......getting his exercise! He begs for them. If they were dangerous, it would have shown by now!

It could just be possible that certain varieties of tomatoes carry the toxin more than others.
