I took my 6-7 week old kitten to the vet on Monday and she got her first round of vaccines (the vet wanted to break them up because she is so young) and dewormer. She has been eating and drinking, going pee and poop regularly, her stool looks normal, not runny or wierd (sorry to get so graphic) but she hasn't been her normal playful self since then, a little sluggish and sleeping more than usual.
Today she threw up, mostly water, so I called the vet. They said that she might have had a bad reaction to the vaccines, and asked to me to check for any swelling, which she doesn't seem to have. Her ears are not warm and her gums don't seem to be pale (something I googled in relation to the topic). They said to just keep a close eye on her and call if anything changes or if she gets sick again. She was a little freaked out after getting sick but after a few minutes she went over to her food bowl and started eating and drinking, she played a little bit and now she is back to sleeping.
I just wanted to post to see if anyone else has had a similar experience with their kittens, any additional advice, things I should watch for, etc.. Please let me know.
Thank you!
