My girls were spayed 7 days ago. Are they safe from their donut collars?

They seem fine!! Other then the initial full body lick down they don’t seem to be licking it. My one nibbled at it a tad but I see her picking at the scab. They had internal stitches with glue. I’m hoping I can keep them off of them because they seemed miserable with them on. I know the vet said 10/12 days however I have done a lot of googling and some people done use them at all, some only a few days some say up to 14 days. Advice?? Thank youuuu

Hi, what darling cats ❤

I'm not a vet but since the collars cause that much stress and they're not licking, you can likely leave them off. If anything changes in their behavior the collars would need to go back on.

I used a onesie for my girl. I couldn't keep the cone on the boy. He wouldn't stop freaking out and waking backwards to get out of the cone.
