I wish you luck as I'm having similar problems. I have a coolant leak and the emissions pipe in the front of the car broke Wednesday night. It runs but sounds like the end of the earth so it's getting fixed tomorrow. I want a new car but the company I work for may be sold and there's a possibility they may be letting people go. Until then I ride the "bonerattler".

My car is fixed! And they gave me a really great price! I guess the tank that was supposed to come didn't - and the garage owner managed to get ahold of another tank - this one a southern tank just like new - and did it for the previous price quoted, even though he had to pay more for the tank! He told me he never charges more than the quote because that keeps the customers happy which means repeat business and good word of mouth advertising!
