Jcatbird Jcatbird I hope Banjo is okay as well as you and the other kitties. My sister had a cat that constantly got bad UTIs and it was confirmed that the litter she bought was a bit dusty, so she switched to Feline Pine and her kitty rarely had a UTI after that. Well I hope you find what works best for Banjo. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! Still praying for Banjo and you.

pearl99 pearl99 I am so sorry to hear about your eye. I experienced corneal abrasions as well. They are very annoying. My eye were tearing, stingy and achy and very hard to keep open and look at things. I pray your eye heals. If you want a bird video you can laugh over check out the video I posted the other day on this thread about the many sounds of the Lyre Bird. You could just listen to it. This bird is incredible! It not only mimics other birds, but car alarms, cameras and even a chainsaw (I kid you not). You will get a laugh over it. Well take care. I hope your eye is feeling a bit better.🙂

pearl99 pearl99 Ouch! I hope your eye is not hurting and you recover quickly. I know how eye problems make everything harder. Take care and rest that eye!

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 Thank you. Please keep it lit. Ummm, your house must glow by now. :hugs:

dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 Thanks for the Cats Pride! Yes! The kitties went to it immediately! I’m going to do a kitty survey. Lol Which brand do colony cats here prefer. They chose that over their previous brand!

The update on Banjo is that a second ultrasound was done before the colonoscopy. The internist did not do the colonoscopy because it would not be conclusive. He stayed in contact with me via phone throughout and opted to let me put my resources towards another specialist. The internist is trying to get us a referral to someone in another state. It appears that something is present in lining of the wall of the abdomen. We can’t do a biopsy via the colonoscopy so we need further help. We are hoping to get her scheduled as soon as possible. For now, we continue to give lactulose, if needed some Gabapentin and lots of yummy stuff. Banjo is sleeping beside me now and has been purring and happy to be home. It was a long trip and long day but Banjo has traveled a lot and she did very well. She gave me head rubs on my fingers all the way home. I have already made calls to find help getting her to the next doctor and dustydiamond1 dustydiamond1 found us some great options for the trip there. We will get there.
The doctor was wonderful! He fully understood how important Banjo is to her colony , to everyone here and to me. He seems to have taken special interest in Banjo. Everyone there fell for Banjo. Of course! Lol

I think this shirt helped open a conversation about Banjo and the ferals and we’ll be getting some new members maybe? I was told that the staff will be passing the website on. Sometimes the things people do make a very big difference in our lives!! It’s that ripple effect I am always talking about. One person is kind to another and it keeps going. From human to human to cat and back. Around the world and from one state to another. Maybe some person will come here and be helped as we were helped.

If anyone Dr. Woods or anyone from his office stops in, Thank you for helping! :hugs::grouphug2:

Love to all who keep Banjo in their thoughts, hopes and prayers and to those who have reached out to touch our lives.

LOL, I read that as "Hammers" the first time, and thought, "HUH???"

Ummm, your house must glow by now. :hugs:
It glows most of the time! I really have two main. big candles, one for people and one for animals. Their name and need is written on paper, and placed under the candles, which kinda burn 24/7. Then I have my "specials," which includes Banjo. I even have a friend who will be looking after Hek next week while I have surgery who has promised to light the candles and sit with them for an hour when she comes to feed and clean "teh bawx."

Everyone there fell for Banjo. Of course! Lol
DUH!!!!

The ripple effect is so important for people to remember. Thank you Jcatbird Jcatbird for reminding us all about it. I have witnessed it firsthand in my life too and it's all-embracing. 💞 I loved the pics of Kodiak in your purse - I've had a cat in a tote bag but never a purse.

Prayers, healing vibes and our everlasting special thoughts go out to Banjo and you. :grouphug: To say you are an incredible person and cat aficionado would be putting it mildly. You are our hero bar none! :heartshape:

Mamanyt1953 Mamanyt1953 I will light a candle here for you and your surgery. We could use a little glow here for others.:hugs: I think we could add a couple of others names as well.

strider rose strider rose The Clowder is still itchy. They love the litter that @dustydiamond sent for them. They formed a line at that box! Lol Cats Pride is their choice so far. I got several litters that I could get quickly and locally but they are all rejected. I spoke to the supplier again and they will be asking the manufacturers if they changed anything. A supervisor is supposed to be calling me. They have an ad on their site for Cats Pride but I am told they do not sell it?🤔 Anyway, I spent all day scrubbing boxes and disposing of litter that is still unused! 395 lbs. of litter in the last shipment and probably another few boxes. As long as the kitties stop itching, I’ll be happy. I treated them ALL with Bravecto and that didn’twork. Neither did the Advantage last month. Thank you for asking!!

rubysmama rubysmama Cat dancing! Duck dancing! Lolololol Yes, it will be a good weekend. I hope the same for everyone!

neely neely Such very kind words! You just activated the ripple effect! Thank you! I get tired sometimes and it seems that just when it gets a bit hard, someone steps in and lifts me up. Each time it has happened, I have been motivated to give a little more and try a little harder. I am grateful to you and to all the others that stick by us and offer another ripple. I have been greatly blessed to find so many wonderful people here. Thank you. I am floating on that ripple!:cloud9: I’ll do me best to pass it on too.

Kodiak in the purse! Lol She is a small cat and fits pretty well but you should see when Precious tries! The kitties are always looking for a treat in my purse. Like kids looking for a piece of gum or a pack of lifesavers in Grandma’s purse! Lol Of course if it is Banjo, she is looking for my keys or credit card. Whistle has followed her lead on that and Precious is learning. I think Kodiak is hoping more for a toy. They are all so dear and so funny! I keep my tote bags in the closet. They would be filled with kitties otherwise!

Whenallhellbreakslose Whenallhellbreakslose Thank you too! I have anupdate on Banjo and her schedule but will know more tomorrow.

A Small smile post from her Highness! I bought her a small chair so she can sit by me without others disturbing her. It’s just her size! Lol

Update on Banjo. I got a call today from the vet school! We got the referral we needed and they have accepted Banjo as a patient for tests. Now I just have to convince Banjo that she cannot drive out of state! She is going to be a very experienced traveler! I am still figuring out how we get there and who will watch over the kitties. It will be a mad dash to get there and back in one day but this is an opportunity we cannot pass up. She is being scheduled for a Cat scan and then we go from there depending on what we learn. This won’t be as long a drive as we spent when she was lost in Florida so that’s a plus! Hopefully it won’t end with another attempted car jacking either! Lol I should get another call tomorrow with more details about where we go. I am calling everyone I know here to find the help we need to get there.

Margot Lane Margot Lane We won’t be taking the trip yet. I am still lining up transportation since my vision won’t let me drive for that amount of time. I think it will be later in the week though. We are very fortunate the Vet School is working with me and my limitations. They even said that if we arrived late, it’s okay. The specialist here must have put in quite a good word for us! We stumbled on some angels!
You made me smile! Bedtime stories for adults! :cloud9::lol: I love it! Bonnie says Fang you for the purraise! Since Banjo considers herself royalty, I am guessing her music of choice is Rock and rule!;) Goodnight!:sleepycat::lovecat4: Sweet dreams.

rubysmama rubysmama You and Ruby won? I am so sorry I was not on as much lately and missed that! I’m so glad for you both! :woo::banana1::woohoo:I will do my best to go back and find the photo! Yay! Congratulations!
Thanks. I know you've been busy, but you did miss some laughs at all the naughty cats. Figures, though, that's the month Ruby would win.

Oh, that's great that they accepted Banjo as a patient. Paws crossed that you can quickly work out the travel arrangements. :crossfingers:

Meanwhile, here's some more healing vibes for Banjo. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::bicolorcat:

And a pawsitive thought for all of us. :grouphug2:
