My Cats Peeing By Her Water And Food Bowl And Don't Know Why?

Hi!
Our cat has been urinating by her food and water bowl recently and we don't know why. She's 3 years old, no bad behavioral issues except when she does this. She's a very mellow, chill and awesome cat. I wonder whats happening...any thoughts?

When cats experience discomfort at the litterbox they eliminate somewhere else. In their kitty brains they think the problem is the litterbox. Please take her to a vet. She may have a URL ary infection.

Thank you so much for your response. She's been going into her litter box when she needs to, but these spells happen sporadically. The last time was 2 weeks ago. Always in the same spot by her water and never in it. Its almost as if she's trying to tell us something? Is that possible?
