My cat's name is Pi. He was adopted as Joker in March, but never responded to that name. He learned Pi as his name very quickly and responds to that.

However, the other day after a thunderstorm I was acting silly as I was petting him and called him Smootauff. He looked right up at me. About an hour later, I said the same name again and he came running into the room. He is responding to this ridiculous name now for some reason. We think that maybe it sounds like the word "food" to him.

Pi is very mischievous and now we're saying that Smootauff is his evil alter ego ;)

Another beautiful black cat!
Everyone should have at least 2

My Sophie answers to Saurus. I adopted her and her sister Lilith while my DD was away at college. When she came back, she started calling her Sophiesaurus which eventually was shortened to Saurus. She can be quite naughty. She hates it when I put anything on the kitchen table except the cat food dishes (of course). I had brought the mail in the other day and put it on the table for a few while I fixed their dinner. She got mad and pushed it onto the floor then sat there and looked at me like, "What? I didn't do it!"

LoL, Smootauff.   A bit different to Pi.

What a gorgeous cat - that second photograph is stunning.    I love that Pi has an evil alter ego to go with that innocent 'It wasn't me' gaze.
