Hey Internet,
My cat Ruby (indoor/outdoor) recently tried to kill a rather large bird. The bird apparently put up a fight because the next morning, Ruby's face was swollen on one side. Today, she has a visible wound that oozes pus. I'm thinking its possible that there is a piece of the bird's claw or something in there. It doesn't seem to bother her too much, because she lets me put pressure on it with a hot compress, and squeeze some of the pus out. I'm trying to avoid a monstrous vet bill, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has any suggestions of ways I can help heal her at home.
Thanks in advance,
Ruby's Parents
