Hi, I caught my 1 year old male cat licking garlic salt that was at the bottom of a bowl in the sink. I don't think he licked that much as I heard him when he started licking, but he got a few licks in. Should I be worried?

Almost certainly not. Just watch him for the next few hours for lack of appetite, vomiting, diarrhea, and lethargy. I'm betting you won't see it. The rule of thumb seems to be that anything over 5 gms of garlic per kilogram of cat can trigger toxicity. That's a LOT of garlic salt! About a teaspoonful!

Okay thank you! It's been a couple hours and he's okay. I gave him some wet food too and he ate it all
