I have 2 female cats (Daisy and Poppy) which I have had since they were 8 weeks old (they will be a year old in July). They were litter trained when I got them and everything was fine at first. But then I noticed that one or both of them was peeing behind my television. This went on for ages so I decided to get another litter tray because maybe they didn't like sharing one. But it still continued to happen, but then it just stopped. At this point, I didn't let my cats go outside but then I did and when Daisy came in from outside, she ran in and then went and peed in the corner of the hallway (it was almost as if she had been so excited from being let out). I caught her and gave her a telling off and a little smack. Then it stopped for a while but now she has started pooing on my carpet. What I can't understand is that she did it right near the litter tray, but not near enough for her to have missed or to have kicked it out. How can I stop this? I think it is just Daisy that is messing everywhere as I have never caught Poppy doing it. I always see her go in her litter tray or outside.
