We don't know what injured him, but he was outside all night, and in the morning we found him curled up halfway under a bush. He meowed in pain when we picked him up to transport him back to the house. One of his hindlegs has a few cuts on it, and the other one he limps on (it doesn't seem to be broken, though), but he does put some weight on it. He also gets up and walks around a little bit, usually to move to a different sleeping spot. We cleaned the cuts out with peroxide and put ointment on them. He drank water when we first brought him inside (and rested his chest in the water bowl...I've never seen him do that before, so I don't know if it means anything), but I haven't seen him eat, and he probably didn't eat while he was outside, so it's been more than twenty four hours now. Tomorrow I'll try giving him some tuna, but he wont eat the dry catfood that we have and we already tried to give him a piece of turkey, but he wouldn't eat that, either. Also, he keeps getting up and going to the litter box and standing in it, but he doesn't do anything beyond that. Does anyone here know what could be wrong with him? We're rather tight on money right now, but will pay a vet bill if we have to. Again, what concerns me the most about him is how he wont eat and how he just stands in the litter box. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If it helps, he's a neutered male, one year old.
