My one year old cat, Simon, was diagnosed with a plastic allergy yesterday. I bought a new bowl for him, but the issue is that he chews on everything, his favorites being laundry baskets, phone chargers, and his litter box... I can obviously keep away the laundry baskets and phone chargers. But how can I get him to stop chewing on his litter box? I can't put anything on it that will deter him and my other cat from using it! I also keep his food in a large plastic container. Does that affect anything? Can he be harmed by cross-contamination? His scoop is plastic, as well. I'd appreciate any help. I take him to the vet regularly, so I know he is healthy otherwise.
