Well, I'm relatively new to this site but its nice to know how many cat lovers are out there. I use to work for a vet for 40 yrs so I have acquired a lot of cats thru the years & have lost many of my feline kids thru cancer, kidney failure & other Senior related illnesses. All my deceased family are still in my heart & soul & I had them cremated & have them in our bedroom with their pictures so they are still here with me in spirit. My oldest cat Rachel will be 21 yrs old in May & she's my hyperthyroid cat that is doing quite well for her age. She pretty much just eats & sleeps but that's ok by me as she is still here with us. We lost her real brother, Sammy many years ago which was heart breaking & we still miss the boy. Than we have Chelsea & Mr. Topaz (actual real brothers & sisters), Nicky & Raven (real brothers that really do not get along) & than the new addition we just rescued, Cami which is very sweet & loving. Most of my family are Seniors like me & I told myself that I was not going to get any new additions or replace anyone due to my age as I worry what if something was to happen to me, what would happen to my kids. Well, I need to make sure I stay healthy so I always will be there for them. We, also, have a beautiful, sweet loving Golden Retriever that my cats adore.
